Schule F-9
The mission of the school is to promote learning where the individual are stimulated to acquire knowledge. In collaboration with home, school should promote the students to develop into responsible people and members of the community. The school should be characterized by care for the individual, consideration and generosity.
Preschool class
The preschool class is voluntary, but still part of the school program.
The municipality has the obligation to offer the children a place in a preschool class, from the autumn term of the year when the child turns six years old until the child should start school.
If possible, a place is offered as close as possible to the child’s home. Due consideration is also given to the parents wishes. Preschool is free of charge for six years old children, up to 15 hours per week or 525 hours per year.
The preschool class should stimulate every child’s development and learning and be the foundation for the continued education process. In the preschool class, both the preschool´s and compulsory school´s pedagogies meet and work together.
Compulsory school
Every child between seven and sixteen years old has compulsory school attendance.
If you wish, your child can start school already at the age of six.
Education is mandatory and free of charge. The parents do not have any costs for textbooks and teaching aids, school meals or health service.
School transport is also free of charge if the parents do not choose a school other than the closest in the municipality.
After-school center
The after-school center offers educational group activities for the enrolled children aged 6-12, during the free part of the school day and during holidays. The activity is a complement to school. After-school centers are available within our F-6-schools.
