Preschool 1-5 years

The preschool in Lessebo municipality is an educational institution for children of ages between 1 and 5 years. The activity is conducted under the form of preschool and addressed primarily for children 1-5 years old, whose parents work or study.

Preschools in Lessebo municipality are located in the four localities, Lessebo, Hovmantorp, Kosta and Skruv. We have well functioning preschools with professional and experienced staff. Our premises are good and appropriate. All preschools are close to the nature, with forests and lakes. There are no long queues, we offer a place in preschool within two months after submitting your application.

The preschool has its own curriculum, Lpfö -98. This means that the preschool is the first step in the society´s collected educational system for children and youth. The curriculum is based on divided responsibilities where the state gives the general goals and guidelines for the preschool and the municipality are responsible for implementation.

Lessebo municipality also offers universal preschool for ages 4-5. Children are offered a place in the universal preschool from the autumn term when they get 4 years old. The universal preschool is free of charge and applies for 15 hours per week during the schools term time.
